When I first began celebrating Make Out Day 6 years ago, I didn’t really know that it would wind up becoming an annual event. Last year, to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the holiday, I decided that I wanted to do something bigger. I wanted to print up t-shirts and slap bracelet beer coozies, and when I started to think about a design for these, I realized that this was an impossible task…for me. The fact of the matter was, the perfect designs had already been made…by someone I already knew. My dear friend, Samantha, had been creating her “Make Out City” series for some years already at that point, and no matter how hard I tried, I knew that nothing could be better than her amazing illustrations. She was gracious enough to let me use her work, and there are no amount of words or actions that can express my gratitude and excitement about that.
